Power to Journey On!
Journey Girls,
"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and the incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of His mighty strength, which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come." ~ Ephesians 1:16-21
Praise God for His power, wisdom, and hope for those who believe! Each time I read that passage of scripture I get excited about the extraordinary power of the Holy Spirit that is at work within us! The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is alive and active in us!
As we continue our journey, let us not forget the power of Christ that is within us! It is so easy to get discouraged along the way. Maybe you feel as though you have gotten behind or you just can't keep up. The enemy whispers to just quit. You can't do it. Don't allow the lies of the enemy to get you down. I know these same feelings. Feelings of inadequacy, feelings that you will never get through your current situation, and feelings of discouragement. I am living proof that God will see you through! He is the lifter of your head. (Psalm 3:3) Look to Jesus!
I know that on any journey, there are potholes, forks in the road & struggles along the way, but we can overcome these obstacles with power of the Holy Spirit. John 16:33 says, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." We serve a God who has already overcome on our behalf! We are more than conquerors through Him. (Romans 8:37)
Are you are struggling on the journey? Are you getting weary? Remember to cling to the life map you have been given -God's Holy Word. 2 Corinthians 4:7-9 says this, "But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed."
My beloved sisters, with the power of the Most High within you, journey on! Stand up! You CAN do it!! Today is a new day and we serve a God who has overcome on our behalf. He loves us and desires for us to know Him more throughout our journey with Him. There is victory in Jesus!
I am praying for you today. Stay encouraged! I know you can make it! I love you!!

6 Response to Power to Journey On!
I love the end of Romans 8. "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to seperate us from the love of GOD which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" What can wipe away my sin NOTHING but the Love of Jesus. Thanking him for that love today. Every time "man" lets us down, God will always be there to pick us up.
Praise God! I was just singing on the way to work this morning - "There is victory in Jesus". I am amazed every day how God reveals His power in my life. And the very things I struggle with, He continues to give me VICTORY. I'm learning to wait for it and claim it every time instead of "hoping" for it. God is so faithful. He knows the desires of our hearts!
Again, I am so amazed at how God so intricately weaves his plans together!! He can use an obedient woman in Illinois (Denver this week) to confirm and encourage a sister in Kentucky without either of us knowing why we have chosen the scripture He has laid on our hearts...
The bible study for high school girls that I mentioned the other day is beginning this Sunday from 4-6pm. Our church is reading a chapter a day of Ephesians as a daily devotion and on Monday after reading chapter 1, I began praying this scripture over these girls who have agreed to participate in the study. "I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe." Eph 1:16-19 NIV
So far we have 9 young ladies who have committed to the study and possibly 3 more that may attend. Please prayer for Jen and I as we lead this study and especially, pray for these girls... I recommend Eph 1:16-19 if you aren't sure what to pray for them!!! I'll tell them that women all over the country are praying for them!!!

You can't imagine how I needed to read your post. With eyes filled with tears, I am thankful for confirmation from the Lord. I was feeling so discouraged. I am thankful that when I am weak, He is strong! God is so good.
I will continue to pray Ephesians 1:16-19 for your girls. I am praying for you and Jen as you both lead. God is going to do an awesome work! Believing God with you!!
Love you!
