Just Imagine 2010!
Isaiah 43:10
says, “You are my witnesses, declares the LORD, and my servant whom I have
chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me.”
I absolutely
LOVE the Word of God! It amazes me how every time you read it, you find
something new. I love it when the Holy Spirit speaks through HisWord. God is so good! There is
nothing that I desire more than to make an impact for Jesus Christ. I want to
be His witness, a vessel for the outpouring of His love to others! This leads
me to something that the Lord has laid upon my heart. Just imagine a 40 day
journey to draw closer to Jesus! As my 40th
birthday quickly approaches, I am looking for 40 women to join with me on a 40
day journey. Okay girls, ready for a challenge?
Here are the
guidelines:
Starting January 5, 2010-February 13, 2010 (40
days) we will commit together to do the following:
1) Spend time each day in God’s Word ~
Commit to setting time aside each day to get into the Word. Spend time reading
& studying. Dig deep into His Word. Set a goal to memorize 4 scriptures
during this challenge. Listen to Jesus and allow Him to speak to your heart.
“Be still & know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10a
2) Spend time each day in Prayer & Praise
~ pray for God to open your eyes & ears to what He has for you. Pray for
His guidance and wisdom in your lives. Pray for opportunities to share Jesus
with those around you. Pray for leaders in our communities and in our nation. And above all, PRAISE HIM!! Praise God for
who He is and for all His many blessings!
3) Fast & focus ~Fast (go without)
something during this time in order to focus more on Jesus & others.
Whether it is giving up sweets or soft drinks or something else, each time you
would normally partake of that item, pray instead. This will allow us to focus
on Christ and others, before ourselves.
4) Serve Christ through serving others ~
Commit to give 40 hours of community service (during 2010) to an individual in
need or a Bible based, nonprofit organization that God lays on your heart. Give
with excellence and with a humble heart. I can promise you, that while
attempting to be a blessing to others, you will be blessed!
We can keep
each other accountable as we go throughout our journey. We will learn together
to savor His presence in our lives! I believe there is so much He wants to do
through us this year, if we will surrender our hearts to Him & allow His
Spirit to lead us. We can share and blog our testimonies along the way. We will
have a blast together and I can’t wait!! J

us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all
generations, forever and ever! Amen.”

I am always up for an adventure and I would love to go on this one with you. Count me in on the journey. The only thing I am packing is the full armour of God!! We all know how the devil like to work against those that love the Lord. So let's put our armour on and travel this road together. love ya.

Girlfriend, I am here and excited to be on this journey with you and all the others.I just love all my new Girlfriends in God. I just figured out with lots of prayer :) how to get connected. I started reading the ESV on the first and am so excited about this year.

Good Morning, Journey girls. AGAPA love WOW it is amazing, Loving one another as Jesus loves us. What a privelage. I love knowing that each day I am in the word with 50+++ other journey girls growing in that AGAPA love. Yesterday I started Co-leading a new bible study called Moving On after the boxes are unpacked it is an international ministry to help women heal after they have moved. WOW talk about God's AGAPA love..!!!! There was a young lady who had just moved to AZ two weeks ago from Florida where she had only been 6 months after being in Arkansas her whole life. Elisabeth you know she all ready has a special place in my heart and you know where she sat. YES, right by me..Any way I would love it if all the journey girls would keep these girlfriends in God in prayer as they adjust to a new place, new friends and new church.Pray that they feel that amazing AGAPA love of God again. I have seen this study before and it looks AMAZING!! It is a ministry that is needed in every congregation. You will have to tell me all about it! Thank you so much for sharing this!!
