Packing for the Journey. . .
Okay girls, who is ready for our journey tomorrow?? If you are like me, you are still preparing & packing way too much! After all, we are girls, right? I always seem to take too much “stuff” on trips with me. Thankfully, this is a different type of journey. This 40 day journey will take us deep into God’s Word & draw us closer to Him. I believe that our Daddy, Abba Father is pleased. As I was praying this morning for each of you, this is the scripture that HE brought to mind. Judges 18:5-6 ~“Then they said to him, ‘Please inquire of God to learn whether our journey will be successful.’ The priest answered them, ‘Go in peace. Your journey has the LORD’s approval.” Praise God, I believe the same is true today. The Lord desires for us to draw close to Him and He wants to teach us so much along the way.
Let’s remember to leave behind the old baggage! He has a “New thing” for us, remember? All you will need for this journey is God’s Word. You could pick up a few note cards for scripture memory, and maybe even a notebook to journal. The best part is you don’t have to worry about what to wear! Colossians 3:12-14 says, “Therefore, as God’s chosen people holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” Let’s also remember to put on our armor! (Ephesians 6:10-20) There may be some bumps in the road throughout our journey and we want to be prepared!
As we continue to prepare for our time together, let’s first prepare our hearts. Pray for where the Lord wants to take us and what He wants us to learn along the way. “Search me, O God and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” Psalm 139:23
Please know that I am praying with you. This is a journey that I deeply need and desire. I am so blessed to have each of you along for the ride! It is going to be so much fun as we dive into His Word and share insights and praises of how we have observed His presence throughout this time.
Well, I better go. . . I have much preparation to do even yet this evening! I can’t wait until tomorrow!! Thank you so much for sharing this time with me. You will never know what it means. I am already so crazy about you and I am praying for each of you every day. I love my “Journey Girls!” It is my honor to be your servant!

I am praying for you too as you lead us on this journey. Let us set our hearts on pilgrimage!!!
Thanks for the text today. It was like God asking me "what are you waiting for"? so I am ready to follow with God leading us all!! Just think he already lead us here. He is so awesome.
Anxious to get started!! Been feeling very alone lately (missing some old girlfriends), so I am soooo ready to seek to know my Savior more with 40 girls along for the trip. Love you, Elisabeth, and am praying for you too!!
WOW!! This is absolutely amazing, when yesterday at church,I professed aloud, that it was a new day and new year, and that my prayer was that of Paul, (Galatians 2: 19-20)"For through the law I did to the law so that I might live for God, I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the Body, I live by faith in the Son Of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." I am ready for this journey! I praise God for you Elisabeth and the rest of the Servantgirls! I also praise God for these ditches and mudholes, I have fell in and crossed. I love you Elisabeth and Servantgirls, mostly I love my "DADDY and "Jesus Christ"!
Glad I work with a Co-Worker (vivian) who was so excited about your journey, I had to tag along!
Thanks girls!! I am excited as well. We are going to have a blast in His Word together!! I am so happy that you are all along for the ride!! :)
