“Bring on the New Thing!”
Welcome, blessings & Happy New Year!! I am so very thankful that you have taken the time to view my blog. This is a new venture for me, so bear with me as I take on this endeavor. This New Year marks a turning point in my life. 2009 was a year of huge transition. My family moved across the country, my only son started college, (yes . . . I’m officially a “College Mom.”) and we are in between ministries at present. It was a difficult year. Needless to say, a part of me was excited to see the “new” year. God’s word says to “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.” ~Isaiah 43:18-19
2010 ushers in a new phase of my life and I believe God is going to do a “new thing.”January is my birthday month. J We celebrated birthdays big when I was growing up. As you can tell, that tradition has stayed with me. Bless my husband’s heart! Well, this year marks a pretty big birthday. I will turn 40 in just a few days!! I can hardly believe it, but it is true. As I have been reflecting on the last 40 years, I have had some laughter, some tears and many blessings to praise the Lord for in my life. I feel as though I am the richest girl in the world. Not in financial means, but in my heritage of faith, my family, my friends, and most of all my relationship with Jesus Christ. Thank you Lord for giving me life! Life to the full! (John 10:10)
I am excited to see what God has in store for each of us in 2010. It is a New Year with new hope, new blessings and new opportunities to serve Him. I have many faults and have had many failures. I am so thankful for the love and grace that Jesus has shown me. I love you Lord! There is one thing that I am confident of. . . . . “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you (& me) will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6) He is not finished with me yet and I still have so much to learn. My desire is to be more like Christ. I want to have a servant’s heart; serving Jesus and sharing His love with others.
Believing God for an amazing New Year!

Wow did I need the reminder from Isaiah 43 and Philippians 1! It has been a very rough '09... so ready for a new God centered year! Thank you so much for doing this Elisabeth... It is just what I needed! Love you so much!
Thanks Christy!
Your Welcome Jen! It is what I need too!! We will have fun. Love you!! : )
WOW!! This is absolutely amazing, when yesterday at church,I professed aloud, that it was a new day and new year, and that my prayer was that of Paul, (Galatians 2: 19-20)"For through the law I did to the law so that I might live for God, I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the Body, I live by faith in the Son Of God, who loved me and gave himself for me." I am ready for this journey! I praise God for you Elisabeth and the rest of the Servantgirls! I also praise God for these ditches and mudholes, I have fell in and crossed. I love you Elisabeth and Servantgirls, mostly I love my "DADDY and "Jesus Christ"!
I love you too Beth & I am SO happy that we are on this journey together! Praying for you daily!! :)
