So Long Insecurity - Week Six
Okay girls, we are half way through our book study and God is revealing some awesome truths in His Word! I pray that you are staying with this study. God desires for us to live a Spirit-filled life of freedom in Him. He desires for us to be rid of insecurity once and for all!
In this next part of our study, Beth Moore will share insights from her surveys of men. Please read each chapter, even if you do not have a male influence in your life. It is important for us to read each part of this study so that we might gain better understanding into our gender related insecurities.
Our assignment from Beth this week is to read CHAPTERS 10 AND 11 and answer the following questions:
1. Based on Chapter 10, in all truthfulness, has your historical tendency been to view men (generally speaking) as gods? Or devils?
2. Based on Chapter 10 and your own day-to-day observances, what differences do you see between men’s insecurities and women’s?
3. On p.208 in Chapter 11, I suggest that women who struggle with insecurity tend to be particularly taken with 2 divine attributes: omnipotence and omniscience. Did either of these resonate with you? If so, how?
I hope that you will begin to share what God is doing in and through you as we study together. I also hope that you are keeping a personal journal that you can reflect back on whenever needed. Our times of sharing will make our journey more meaningful and help to hold us accountable. I love each of you and I am keeping you in my prayers. Enjoy your reading this week!
Love you girls,
Elisabeth
