To Honor the King
Praise God, His strength is made perfect in our weakness!! I am determined to continue to cling to Jesus during this time of transition and continue to give Him praise!! Jesus brings clarity to a situation when we seek His face. My husband and I continue to pray and fast about next steps and seek the face of God. Please continue to keep us in your prayers! Thank you!
I am enjoying our book study together. It comes at a time in my life when I am feeling most insecure! I must admit, after the past couple of years, I am feeling more insecure than ever! I loved the challenge that Beth Moore posted on page 43 of "So Long Insecurity."
"To let the healthy, utterly whole, and completely secure part of us increasingly overtake our earthen vessels until it drives our every emotion, reaction, and relationship. When we allow God's truth to eclipse every false postitive and let our eyes spring open to the treasure we have, there in His glorious reflection we'll also see the treasure we are. And the beauty of the Lord our God will be upon us. (Psalm 90:17)"
My prayer for you this week is that you will allow the Holy Spirit to consume every part of your being. I pray that we will be controlled by His Spirit that dwells within us and not by the sinful nature of our flesh. Jesus is perfect and in Him is no darkness at all. Let the beauty of the Lord be upon us!
Whatever insecurities you are dealing with, remember that our security is in the LORD. He desires for us to see ourselves as He sees us. I love each of you and I am praying for you as you spend time with the Savior. One of my favorite passages that the Lord brought to my mind comes from Psalm 45:11. Read the following passage and imagine Jesus speaking these words directly to your heart.
"The king is entralled by your beauty; honor Him for He is your Lord."
As we continue our study together, know that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords is entralled by your beauty. He loves you so very much! Let's honor Him this week in everything that we say and do. Ask Jesus to help you to be honest about your feelings of insecurity. Ask Him to help you see yourself as He sees you. You are a treasure! Honor Christ!
I love you and you are in my daily prayers!
All Glory, Honor and Praise to the King,
Elisabeth

Even though this has nothing to do really with this post, I am about to explode with excitement and I just have to share my praise with all of you ladies. As I mentioned before, I am in the middle of Beth Moore's "Believing God" with a group of 11 high school girls and 3 other ladies. It is absolutely blessing my soul!!! Our last couple of sessions, the girls were laughing and even clapping at times and totally enthralled with Beth's explanations of biblical principles. I have been getting encouragement from some of their Mom's telling me how much their daughter's are enjoying this study. Tonight, one of the teenager sent me a text message asking me to pray for her because she felt she had missed an opportunity to witness to a classmate at school because she was too afraid to open her mouth and speak. She so wants to be ready if she gets another chance with this person. (She's getting it!!!) Then open if the other adults text me to tell me that one of the girls had sent her a message to sat that she had completed her BG homework tonight and it was exactly what she needed today!!! I sooooo feel like God is saying to me "just watch, Rhonda, and be amazed at what I am going to do!!" Thank you Lord, for allowing me to personally witness how powerful your Word is!! Elisabeth, you would be soooo excited if you could see what us happening in my basement. Thank you for showig me how to do this!! I feel so beyond my capabilities sometimes but I know that it has nothing to do me and everything to do with God!!!
Rhonda,
THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this amazing testimony of faith! I am SO excited at how GOD is working in the lives of these precious girls!! HE is so good! I love to see women of all ages "get it"! :) It brings a smile to my face and tears to my eyes! I am so proud of you for being obedient to the LORD and facilitating this small group. You are awesome and I praise Jesus for your life!! Please tell them that I am SOOOO excited at what is happening in that basement of yours and even more excited at what GOD is doing in the lives of these teenagers! PRAISE BE TO GOD!! Tell them that I am BELIEVING GOD with them! :) I love you Rhonda!! Continuing to pray. . .
Just found your blog. I have actually become a blog junkie in recent months, so I am sure yours will become an obsession as well! Bless you for being so transparent and sharing your testimony with others! Your grandmother is actually a dear friend of mine. She was my pastor's wife roughly 31 years ago, and she is still one of the dearest people in my life!
Blessings-
Allison
